Our Commentary Policy
_______
.
Because of the polarizing nature of the topic of Kenneth Copeland, his family, and his ministry, we turned off the “comments feature” of KennethCopelandBlog.com .
It is a fact that there are just too many people out there more than eager to rant about and/or rail on the Copelands. Since the purpose of this blog is to call for their repentance—and not to attack them—we do NOT consider it appropriate for people to post abusive commentary aimed towards the man, his family, or his ministry. Besides, this blog is quite confrontational enough on its own.
Again, our focus is redemption:
Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:5:19-20, NKJV)
Second, although this certainly does not apply to everyone who has listened to the teachings of KCM or watched their broadcasts, it is a fact that much of the Copelands’ “following” bears remarkable resemblance to a cult. Consequently, it is not unreasonable to assume that someone might want to attack the founders of this blog through their commentary because of our public positions in these matters (even as others would like to attack the Copelands).
So with these issues in mind, we thought it best to simply not allow any commentary submissions. By turning off the commentary function we are protecting the biblical purposes of this “loving rebuke” blog.
Again, as every page says in the header, we are calling on the man, his family, and his ministry, to simply repent. Thank you for helping us to hold them accountable to a biblical standard so that they will.
In Jesus,
-Rich Vermillion
