På sin sida har Kenneth Copeland och hans familj, tillsammans med KCM i allmänhet varit väl modeller av hyckleri och motsägelser. Har Kenneth Copeland Bara Commit annat stöd bedrägerier?

Här redovisas hur Glen Hydes Douglas Super-DC3 flygplanet ofta var lastad med medicinsk utrustning som tillhandahålls av McKesson Pharmaceutical. Trots detta ser vi nu KCM ut ett pressmeddelande som är formulerad på ett sådant sätt att det antyder att de (tillsammans med namnet fem partners) finansierade ett flera miljoner uppdrag dollarn stöd, när det i själva verket utelämnade uppgifter verkar tyda på något annat. Kort sagt verkar det som KCM endast försöker få $ 2.700.000 värde av "humanitära biståndet kredit" genom ett PR-trick, men faktiskt spendera en mycket liten bråkdel av detta belopp till endast skicka stödet till den desperata haitier.
Naturligtvis Copeland kunde Kenneth bevisa vad de verkligen används till detta uppdrag genom att beordra sin personal att offentligt ut kopior av kontrollerbara kvitton, kontoutdrag, (och etc) ... men inte hålla andan. Let me first give you the entire text of their Christian Newswire press release, and then I will begin to point out the aforementioned problems with their FIRST EVER comment on these topics. I have also bolded a few things within their text for emphasis which we will discuss further below:

Kenneth Copeland Ministries Aids in Relief Efforts

NEWARK, Tx., Jan. 26 /Christian Newswire/ — Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) announced today that it has become aware of misleading and potentially damaging misinformation that has been circulated through various media outlets. The misinformation falsely suggests that Kenneth Copeland, and the leadership at Kenneth Copeland Ministries, have broken a promise to provide humanitarian aircraft services for all natural disasters on a worldwide basis, and therefore were instrumental in causing people of Haiti additional harm by not having aircraft immediately available. Furthermore, the claim suggests that there has been a misuse of donated funds related to developing humanitarian aircraft services.
Because KCM cares deeply for its Partners and Friends, the ministry and its leadership would like to clarify any confusion that may result from these allegations. In 2006 KCM did, in fact, make one of its aircraft available to provide support during the Hurricane Katrina disaster, and also investigated the possibility of providing such assistance for future disasters. The ministry decided that the best use of resources would be to start a disaster relief fund, and to determine the best course of action on a case by case basis. All monies that are donated to this fund are used for appropriate disaster relief efforts, and not used for any of the day to day operations at KCM. Specifically, with regard to Haiti, because of the magnitude of the disaster, the geographic location, the poor conditions for flights in and out, and the vast involvement of the US military and other government agencies, KCM believed that the best course of action was to send targeted funds to disaster relief ministries and organizations that had better access to Haiti on the ground than did KCM. In addition, KCM also sent relief aid to a Haitian orphanage that the ministry has supported for many years. KCM continues to financially support ongoing relief efforts.
Although KCM is primarily a media based teaching ministry, it invests millions of dollars every year into helping people throughout the world. KCM pours resources into more than 100 ministries in more than 120 countries. The ministry gives to churches, evangelistic outreaches, orphanages, youth programs, and rehabilitation centers. KCM is feeding the hungry, meeting needs of men, women, and children, setting captive hearts free, and ministering faith, hope, and love across the globe. KCM helps supply over 50,000 inmates with devotional and other products to encourage them every month, answers almost 1,000,000 prayer calls per year, and answers over 1,000,000 pieces of mail. Now, let's get into an examination of their public statement:

Significant Errors:
. Again, while it is gratifying to finally have SOME kind of answer out of KCM, their answer comes quite short of what we had hoped. Let me begin by pointing out some errors included within their text: .
“In 2006…” While some might consider this a minor issue, the fact is that Hurricane Katrina occurred in August of 200 5 . Moreover, the sentence completely omitted mention of Hurricane Rita that soon followed in September of 2005, after which the Angel Flight 44 (AF44) missions continued for a few flights.

Kenneth Copeland said publicly that the new humanitarian aviation support ministry of Angel Flight 44 already existed . To suggest within their release that they were merely kicking the idea around is to misrepresent the facts in a most devious manner. Here are ONLY A FEW examples of what Kenneth Copeland said publicly , which are provided here on KennethCopelandBlog.com :
From video 1 in our post, The AF44 Miracle and Kenneth Copeland's Promises , “Um… a major ministry…MAJOR ministry…has been born out of Hurricane Katrina. It is literally born out of the heart of the Spirit of God. But it took that hurricane to wake a lot of us up that should have been awake to this a long time before.” (Watch the footage in that video between time codes 06:21 and 06:39 to hear Copeland say these things himself.)
From the March, 2007 “Special Partner Edition” of KCM's Believer's Voice of Victory magazine ( posted within that same article above), on page 9 Kenneth Copeland himself wrote, “You need several million dollars to build an airplane hangar and buy helicopters, airplanes, food and supplies for Angel Flight 44, your international aviation outreach that helps the needy in times of disaster… Those aren't just outreaches of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. If you're a Partner, they're your outreaches too. ” (Emphasis added. You can download the entire magazine off the above linked KennethCopelandBlog.com article.)
On our post,Angel Flight 44, The Book , we have excerpted Copeland where he had said during my interview of him (and he approved his quotes before the book was published): “And out of this, a new and different form of ministry has been born: Angel Flight 44. It is growing right now. It is still a baby, but it is growing. Right now, it is in its infancy, but we will never again get caught partially prepared for such a disaster. Angel Flight 44 is a ministry that is here to stay , and I will tell you why…Katrina is not the last catastrophe that will occur. We are going to see more of those kinds of things .” (Emphasis added)
. Another very obvious error within their rebuttal was their statement in reference to our allegations here on KennethCopelandBlog.com . Therein they said: .
“…The misinformation falsely suggests that Kenneth Copeland, and the leadership at Kenneth Copeland Ministries, have broken a promise to provide humanitarian aircraft services for all natural disasters on a worldwide basis, and therefore were instrumental in causing people of Haiti additional harm by not having aircraft immediately available. KennethCopelandBlog.comhas not merely SUGGESTED that Kenneth Copeland and KCM have broken their promises, we have DOCUMENTED it. Further, our belief that the earthquake victims of Haiti are suffering additional harm due to the LACK of promised aviation disaster relief from KCM is founded upon Kenneth Copeland's own statements regarding how important such disaster relief is, such as :

That is our mission in the future: we will help churches help people. And from this time on, we are still building, we are still gathering, and we are still preparing as if there is a storm on the way—because there is. We just do not know where it is going to hit, but the storm is coming. Jesus said so in His Word.
So, we are preparing for it. We are preparing equipment. We have plans for more airplanes as the Lord provides funds for them—and He will. Great big things that fly into places, and little bitty things that fly into other places. We need airplanes that haul a lot of stuff, and airplanes that haul a little stuff. We need airplanes that land on the ground, and airplanes that land on the water. We are also believing for helicopters . Now, I have not seen any use for a balloon yet, but I am not ruling that out!
We have plans for acquiring other types of equipment. We have hangars on the drawing board right now in order to be equipped in all areas of flight.
So, that is where we are now. A ministry has been born, and we are going to nurse it and build it and grow it and do our part.
Yes, there is a new baby in town, and her name is Angel Flight 44. And she is coming on strong because…the storm is coming. I do not know whether it is a hurricane or a bunch more tornadoes, or what. But we are going to be ready next time. (see the full quote on our page Angel Flight 44, The Book )

Consider also these statements made within the book about the effect of the original Angel Flight 44 disaster relief missions in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina ( which statements were also reviewed and approved by Kenneth Copeland too …for I still have his review copy of that book in my possession, with his original notes inside): .
In this case, one such man is simply obeying his personal “word” from the Savior…and is repairing an airplane; a seemingly trivial act that will soon spare the lives of thousands . It seems quite fitting that the Savior would direct one of His men to do something that will ultimately save a multitude . After all,…is that not what His love is all about? (page 13, emphasis added)
Consequently, if God had not connected McKesson Pharmaceutical with Glen, Denny, and that Super DC-3 just a few days before— thousands would have died in hospitals all over that area from lack of treatment. (page 53, emphasis added)
Over time, Kenneth Copeland Ministries ships massive quantities of food and bottled water, baby supplies, hygiene products, clothes, hundreds of generators, four to five hundred chainsaws—you name it, they ship it. And not to leave the vast spiritual needs of the devastated community unmet, KCM ships cases upon cases of Bibles and other Christian reading materials for Pastor Larry's church, Joy Fellowship Church, to dispense to the thousands of people they feed . (page 77, emphasis added)
Glen explains, “They won't give them to them because they say that the Marines are not the hospital's responsibility. But you ask the head nurse there this, 'Is it Glen Hyde's responsibility to furnish free air transportation to keep that hospital open without receiving compensation for all those thousands of people that are being served there?' We're furnishing our own airplane, our own fuel—so the Church is essentially furnishing all these medical supplies . Furthermore, we're loading and unloading this stuff through these Marines over here. They wouldn't have anything at that hospital if it wasn't for my DC-3 and these Marines.” (page 150, emphasis added)

The quotes above (again, ALL reviewed and approved by Kenneth Copeland) ALL reinforce the idea that the promised Angel Flight 44 ministry was capable of affecting thousands of lives— even within just its “infancy” stage as Copeland claimed already existed . How many MORE lives could be helped today in Haiti if they had actually developed that pledged ministry as Copeland had promised?
In short, it is very evident that Kenneth Copeland Ministries does NOT have a problem taking credit for saving thousands of lives back when they were actively providing aviation services for relief …but they REFUSE to shoulder ANY blame when their lack of action may be costing thousands of lives.
And remember, as we detailed on the page AF44′s Status in 2010 , (which we just updated 02/02/2010) there were MANY natural disasters that preceded the earthquake in Haiti and yet those disaster victims were likewise without the aviation support that Copeland repeatedly promised to provide.

Glaring Omissions:
.
There were also some VERY noticeable omissions from KCM's response to the allegations here on KennethCopelandBlog.com . Information that is missing , can often be information that is very revealing due to its very absence :
KCM's response did NOT even mention the NAME of the ministry in question, Angel Flight 44. It would seem that they considered even the acknowledgment of AF44′s name to be a possible acknowledgment of Copeland's promises.
KCM's response did NOT mention “who” was spreading the alleged “misinformation” in the media. It would seem that by referencing KennethCopelandBlog.com they would be creating additional burdens of proof for themselves, since our website actually documents our allegations. Which brings us to…
KCM's response did NOT provide any verifiable documentation to support their claims against our allegations, NOR did it provide ANY verifiable documentation/information that would refute what we have alleged. In short, they simply said, “No we did not promise all of that…and please do NOT ask us to prove our honesty in this matter.”
KCM never explained “why” after “GOD” supposedly told Kenneth Copeland to form the Angel Flight 44 ministry, that now they have abandoned it. (Was he disobeying God then, or is he disobeying God now…or just lying about all of it?)
If Kenneth Copeland publicly admits he changed his mind or made a mistake, it would undermine his “prophet” reputation that he has spent so many years to propagate (and thus, probably his partner base as well). After all, what kind of prophet promotes new projects so earnestly, raises funds by telling people the “vision God gave” him, and then changes his mind AFTER the money is donated? (Good question, indeed.)
If Copeland publicly admits he changed his mind or that KCM abandoned the project after raising funds, it creates potential problems for them with the donors who gave (eg possibly wanting their money back, or perhaps wanting to designate where the funds might then go, ie rather than leaving it to KCM's discretion).
It would appear that, in the Copelands' minds , it might be better to just quietly drop such matters and hope people forget about them—rather than stir up potential problems by being “honest” or living by some other inconvenient biblical virtue.

KCM's Good, Bad, and Ugly:
. KCM's response in the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti is wonderful (insofar as they have actually been good stewards of the Disaster Relief Funds entrusted to them by donors). WE HAVE NOT questioned whether they sent money to Haiti or relief groups working in Haiti. In fact, we are absolutely sure they DID because we know their track record with sending disaster relief money to Operation Blessing International.
WHAT WE HAVE DONE is draw attention to the fact that they did NOT promise money for disaster victims back in 2006-2007; KCM promised AIRCRAFT flying in humanitarian aid. There is a huge difference.
Additionally, we have drawn attention to the fact that the AF44-designated contributions have not been accounted for either. With all due respect to any attorneys reading this, let me point out that US lawyers do NOT have a good reputation for honesty around the world. They are known for semantic plays on words such as “it depends on what the definition of 'is' is” (eg as former US president and former lawyer, Bill Clinton, once said in the wake of his Monica Lewinsky scandal). In short, I am NOT comforted by KCM's general counsel “David Middlebrook of Anthony and Middlebrook, PC” when he states: “Kenneth Copeland Ministries is one of the premier Christian Ministries in the world today and is run with the utmost integrity. The Church has an annual independent audit and there are no funds that have been misused or unaccounted for.”
and, of course, explain what REALLY happened with the abandonment of their promised AF44 ministry.
Then and ONLY THEN we might all begin to consider them a ministry of financial integrity (though errant and heretical doctrine and the Copelands' other personal sins would still remain issues in need of repentance).

Concluding Remarks:

. So, again, while we consider it a small victory that Kenneth Copeland Ministries finally made a public statement, it falls way short of what they should have done. Furthermore, their errors and omissions within their public statement actually serve to REINFORCE our allegations here at KennethCopelandBlog.com . Though we appreciate their help in that regard, we would have preferred repentance since it seems they are now confirming their guilt inadvertently. Jesus put it this way:
And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed . But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God . (John 3:19-21, NKJV, emphasis added)
Jesus said that those practicing evil LOVE the darkness, and do everything they can to avoid any light that might expose their nefarious deeds. On the other hand, Jesus said that those who practice truth (ie are operating by biblical standards of integrity) will readily come to the light so that everyone will see that their deeds are done in God.
Copeland and his representatives do a wonderful job of “proclaiming” that they practice good deeds, while working hard to hide many things about Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Till exempel:
Executive salaries and other compensations (which might show how little “faith” the Copelands actually live by, since high salaries reveal trust in paychecks not God…and an abuse of donor funds when done within a ministry).
Actual audited financial statements (which should go to third-party groups like ECFI and Ministrywatch.com for verification…which would prove transparency and integrity).
Reasons behind the abandonment of publicized projects (which Copeland generally says “God” told him to do…but he has had somewhat of a habit of abandoning quietly after the funds are raised).
And more…
Considering all the evidence that we have shared here on the KennethCopelandBlog.com —including over 1 and a quarter hours of video of Kenneth Copeland, three KCM BVOV magazines, quotes from the Angel Flight 44 book, and many other links and documents—it seems to me that KCM could have come up with a more transparent and honest response than what is indicated within their erroneous and weak public statement above.
Thus, in the light of their failure to “come into the light” on this and many other issues, we at KennethCopelandBlog.com have to conclude that they “refuse to come to the light because their deeds are evil” as Jesus said. Consequently, my family and I, along with the growing multitude of like-minded and concerned brethren in the Lord, are calling on Kenneth Copeland, his family, and his ministry, to simply repent.
At the time I am posting this, it has been about three and a half years since the 2006 SWBC announcements of the new Angel Flight 44 ministry, and exactly three years since the book Angel Flight 44 was first released to the public at the 2007 KCM Minister's Conference in Newark, Texas. Now that we have reviewed in detail the promises made during those events by Kenneth Copeland and his ministry, it is time to examine the current status of this promised humanitarian relief entity.
I have prepared a “video tour” below in which we will walk together through the various websites to see what (if anything) is being done today to help hurting people— such as the earthquake victims now suffering in Haiti. However, let's start by first reviewing the catastrophes that occurred after the ministry was supposedly already launched in 2006-2007, and thus, catch us up to its status in 2010.
This was the first major natural catastrophe that happened after the 2006-2007 Angel Flight 44 ministry commitments made by Kenneth Copeland, KCM, and Glen Hyde. The most intense hurricane of the 2007 season, Hurricane Dean was so ferocious that the World Meteorological Organization permanently retired the name from its list.
According to Glen Hyde's own account to me: OBI's president, Bill Horan, phoned AF44 pilot Glen Hyde to inquire what aviation assets were on hand. The rural roads were so devastated that he hoped to repeat the successes of 2005′s Hurricane Katrina missions by interfacing once again with the AF44 aviation team. After all, he was told repeatedly (and read within the pages of the Angel Flight 44 book) that a new permanent Angel Flight 44 aviation ministry would be ready whenever it was needed. Critical supplies needed to be airlifted to the remote areas where thousands of people needed them.
Unfortunately, once he got Glen Hyde on the phone he was told that the only aircraft he had that was suitable for such a mission (due to its fuel range and cargo capacities) was the same Douglas Super DC-3 that he had flown in the Katrina-Rita missions—but it was not legal to fly at that time. The annual inspection had not been done, and FAA regulations forbade its use.
Disappointed but not discouraged, Bill Horan turned elsewhere for the aviation support he needed, and OBI pressed on with their mission.
( NOTE : I mention this incident during the video below, but I could not remember the hurricane's name when doing the taping; also I mistakenly referred to it as an “earthquake” at first because of the early hour in which I was taping, but I corrected my reference to “hurricane” later in my discussion.)
Exactly two weeks after Dean, Hurricane Felix made landfall at Category 5 strength between the boarders of Nicaragua and Honduras. OBI was once again on the scene. If any avaition assets were needed for their operations, however, I do not know Mr. Horan he bothered calling Glen Hyde to see if any were available. Felix was so close behind Dean that my guess is that he probably did not consider contacting Angel Flight 44 so soon after his last unsatisfactory call. Nevertheless, I do know that the airplane was still not inspected, and still not legal to fly.

And there were others…
Then there were Hurricanes Dolly , Gustav , and Ike in the 2008 Atlantic Hurricane Season which created major devastation. Regardless of whether any aviation support was needed for those humanitarian relief projects, Angel Flight 44 was still not flying… and thus, no help to anyone .
Moreover, I have only covered the major Atlantic hurricanes so far…and not smaller storms, the Pacific storms, earthquakes, or other disasters to which Kenneth Copeland pledged Angel Flight 44 would be ready to respond to if needed. I have also not bothered to address the various 2009 catastrophes because Angel Flight 44 was STILL not available to help.
In short, Kenneth Copeland Ministries performance regarding their Angel Flight 44 ministry has been insufficient to even maintain the primary aircraft —ie Glen Hyde's Douglas Super-DC3—and to keep it operational and available for these times of need.
Let me remind you again what Kenneth Copeland said within the pages of the original edition of the book Angel Flight 44 :

That is our mission in the future: we will help churches help people. And from this time on, we are still building, we are still gathering, and we are still preparing as if there is a storm on the way—because there is. We just do not know where it is going to hit, but the storm is coming. Jesus said so in His Word.
So, we are preparing for it. We are preparing equipment. We have plans for more airplanes as the Lord provides funds for them—and He will. Great big things that fly into places, and little bitty things that fl y into other places. We need airplanes that haul a lot of stuff, and airplanes that haul a little stuff. We need airplanes that land on the ground, and airplanes that land on the water. We are also believing for helicopters. Now, I have not seen any use for a balloon yet, but I am not ruling that out!
We have plans for acquiring other types of equipment. We have hangars on the drawing board right now in order to be equipped in all areas of flight.
So, that is where we are now. A ministry has been born, and we are going to nurse it and build it and grow it and do our part. Yes, there is a new baby in town, and her name is Angel Flight 44. And she is coming on strong because…the storm is coming. I do not know whether it is a hurricane or a bunch more tornadoes, or what. But we are going to be ready next time. (Pages 212-213)

Personally, I would have been thrilled if he had just kept the Super DC3 operational and some food and water on hand to provide to hurting people…but Kenneth Copeland did not .

This video was created in the early hours of January 16, 2010, nearly four days after the tragic earthquake hit the nation of Haiti—and during the ongoing rescue efforts and humanitarian relief crisis. Christian organizations of all sizes have mobilized to help these victims, while entire nations have begun to pour aid and military assets into the area in a desperate effort to save lives and restore some order to this stricken nation.
Let us now see what Kenneth Copeland Ministries and its promised Angel Flight 44 are doing to help the Haitians…

UPDATE 02/02/2010: Though our “video tour” above is very convincing that the Angel Flight 44 ministry did not exist at the time the video was produced, KCM's January, 26, 2010 response to our allegations made it CONCLUSIVE that they had abandoned the project and replaced it with their “Disaster Relief Fund.”
However, my detailed post concerning their rebuttal must have increased their anxiety about these issues tremendously (and I DO know that they monitor this website). We believe this because Christian Today published an article today which reports that KCM is now “believing God” for a “fleet” of airplanes for such purposes. Further, Glen Hyde is apparently trying to get his Super-DC3 airplane operational again so he can make humanitarian flights to Haiti. It would seem that KennethCopelandBlog.com (and the growing media coverage thereof) is finally getting their attention— now that the Haitian earthquake disaster is going into its second month.
However, here is the really interesting thing about all of this: They absolutely REFUSE to refer to these RECENT efforts as “Angel Flight 44″ in ANY way. Varför? Simple: By acknowledging that name, they also acknowledge their broken promises from before…and they confirm everything we have said here on this website. Plus, they just do not want to draw attention to the person who wrote the book by that same name (ie Rich Vermillion) because people might want to find out what I have to say on this and other issues concerning them.
So…KCM's “Damage Control” is in full swing now with the media picking up on our story. But, alas! We do NOT yet see any true signs of bona fide repentance since they will not even acknowledge AF44 by name, or me. Moreover, they apparently cannot refute any of our allegations with verifiable evidence .
The most it seems that KCM can do is to proclaim that “somebody” out there is saying “misleading things” about them…but also that everyone just needs to take THEIR word for it that these allegations are “not true” because they cannot (or will not) provide verifiable evidence that refutes them. Update 02/15/2010: In an obvious response to our drawing attention to the issues mentioned above and elsewhere on KennethCopelandBlog.com , KCM has now begun to use the name “Angel Flight 44″ and its abbreviation “AF44″ once again— in conjunction with their new (and rather quickly assembled) Haitian flight mission. Closing Commentary:
It is clear from our little video tour above that the only thing that remains of the promised AF44 ministry is an outdatedAngelFlight44.com website making the same promises it has since early 2007— though it is still directing moneys towards Kenneth Copeland Ministries. We also discovered that the KCM.org main website of Kenneth Copeland Ministries—as well as the BelieversStandUnited.com and “the official” at KennethCopelandMinistries.org blog—are all strangely silent regarding the topic of the Angel Flight 44 ministry. It is as if Kenneth Copeland had NEVER said such a ministry had ALREADY been formed, nor had repeatedly promised that such an aviation support ministry would be further developed and ready for disasters—such as that which just occurred in Haiti a few days ago.
Of course, a disaster as large as the one in Haiti is far more than any one ministry or humanitarian aid organization can handle. That is why entire nations have sent to Haiti personnel and military assets to distribute the food, water and medicine the Haitians so badly need. Nevertheless, one has to wonder where Copeland and his Angel Flight 44 ministry were during those early days of the disaster when their services were so badly needed. If Copeland had prepared beforehand as he had pledged, there would have been supplies flowing into Haiti within 24 hours after that earthquake. Instead, the people had to suffer and wait until other groups arrived, and that seems almost criminal in my opinion.
In lieu of keeping their promises, however, Kenneth Copeland Ministries did create a generic “Disaster Relief Fund” on their website where donors can send funds. This brings several key points to mind:
A generic “relief fund” is a far cry from a fully operational disaster-relief aviation ministry. Thus, it is a poor substitute for KCM keeping its promises.
KCM makes a commitment to send the disaster relief funds to “partners” providing aid (which I know to be primarily Operation Blessing International). Why do donors need a middleman? Can't they just send the funds directly to OBI, or the Red Cross, or someone who will actually be doing relief work?
KCM has already broken its promises regarding the formation of the AF44 ministry, and have never even bothered to explain why. So why should anybody trust them with disaster relief funds, based merely upon their commitment to send pass it along to those doing the relief work?
There has never been an open accounting or explanation given regarding the AF44-earmarked funds given to date. Thus, nobody outside of KCM really knows what KCM might be doing with these so-called “Disaster Relief Funds.”
In truth, it is my opinion that nobody should consider Kenneth Copeland Ministries a safe or “fertile ground” for donations. The track record of that ministry is absolutely deplorable with regard to stewardship of donated funds:
They are being investigated by the US Senate Finance Committee (SFC) for possible tax-law fraud, and have refused to cooperate and prove their own good stewardship of donor funds.
SFC findings to date suggest that they may have misused donor funds as far back as the 1980s with their “Wisdom Heights” development that was never manifest, nor was ever explained.
Thus, I have concluded that KCM is not worthy to be trusted with any money designated for disaster relief ; and by extension, I do not consider them trustworthy with any financial donations at all. As I will explain further within my subsequent posts, my experience with Kenneth Copeland, his family, and his ministry, has given me the regrettable opinion that they may be nothing more than religious frauds. Consequently, that is why we are calling on them to simply repent.
In this post, we will analyze the evidence and use some inductive reasoning to see what types of AF-44-related funds likely came into KCM as a result of these promises made by Kenneth Copeland ( which was probably $1.24 million at a minimum ). You can then compare my figures with those KCM is trying to publish now , and consider which might be more realistic given the evidence.
And let me add that as we journey through “the money,” I will also share a few facts known to me along the way… . .

In the famous book (and resulting movie) about President Nixon's Watergate fiasco called, All The President's Men , the mysterious informant tells reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward to “follow the money” to get to the root of the scandal. Let us take a moment and do the same here, investigating two different but related revenues for Kenneth Copeland Ministries:
Money donated that was specifically designated for the Angel Flight 44 ministry
New “partners” recruited, and money acquired in general offerings, as a result of the promises made about the new Angel Flight 44 ministry

Some Questions:
Is it possible that people who read the book, or heard Copeland speaking at one of the aforementioned recorded services, or read one of the three BVOV magazines, came to AngelFlight44.com? Yes, I know many did. When the book was first released to the partners, the website had very strong traffic (and I monitored the stats regularly back then).

Is it possible that some of the visitors to that website decided to send in a donation to KCM as AngelFlight44.com's Donate page instructed them? Yes, again, I know that some people did, for I heard of testimonies of people who were moved to send in a donation, or who said they planned to (and I am sure there were more people than those I knew about).

How much money was sent in in total, and what ever happened to it? I have no idea. I am not sure that Glen Hyde ever had any idea either. I am very sure KCM can determine it exactly , because of their advanced computer processing capabilities. So it seems to me that an answer from KCM should be given publicly , and that very soon.

In addition to the data above, it is a common thing for believers to put a specific designation in the memo section of their check when donating to a ministry. Thus, I am personally quite sure the actual numbers of people who sent in money to KCM designated specifically for Angel Flight 44 exceeded the number of those who first visited the AngelFlight44.com website.
Nevertheless, regardless of whether one agrees with me on that last point, the other facts above are sufficient to determine that SOMEBODY sent in money to KCM specifically for AF44… now where is it?
In the KennethCopelandBlog.com post The AF44 Miracle and Kenneth Copeland's Promises we reviewed three videos and three KCM Believer's Voice of Victory magazine editions. When you watch these videos and read these magazines, you can clearly see that their descriptions of the new Angel Flight 44 ministry were tied to offerings and donor recruitment . (We will discuss only two of the videos here for brevity's sake.)

More questions:
The first video on that post took place during the KCM donor recruitment service, known back in 2006 as “Increase Day” (though other outreaches of KCM were also featured within that same service).
Is it possible that some of those who answered the “call” to become partners with KCM— or even members of their “Elite-CX Team” preferred partner group — did so at least in-partbecause of what they saw with regard to the Angel Flight 44 ministry that Copeland detailed?

The second video on that post took place during the Friday evening service, wherein a special Angel Flight 44 presentation was made with standing ovations from the audience. Kenneth Copeland immediately began his offertory teaching thereafter, and mentioned the AF44 missions and new ministry again before instructing the ushers to receive the offering.
Is it possible that some people were motivated to give—or to give more than they might otherwise have—because of the stirring Angel Flight 44 presentation they had just witnessed?

ALL three of the BVOV magazines had the Angel Flight 44 ministry tied in some way to partnership with KCM, and the April, 2007 edition was even called the “Special Partnership Issue.” Kenneth Copeland was even so bold as to say in that issue, “You need several million dollars to build an airplane hangar and buy helicopters, airplanes, food and supplies for Angel Flight 44, your international aviation outreach that helps the needy in times of disaster… Those aren't just outreaches of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. If you're a Partner, they're your outreaches too.” (Page 9)

The very nature of the two services above and the three BVOV magazines clearly indicate that partner recruitment and the solicitation of offerings were tied to presentations about Angel Flight 44 in some way and to some degree.
Consequently, it is a reasonable use of inductive logic to assume: KCM's overall increase in partners and donor contributions might have been at least partly due to the presentations given about the previous Angel Flight 44 missions and the promises Kenneth Copeland made about the new ministry that he said had “already” been formed.
Like Bernstein and Woodward, we have been simply following the money trail to see where it leads us. However…we have not talked about the BOOK giveaway yet, have we? Let us look at some real numbers for just a moment before we discuss conclusions…

The Angel Flight 44 Book Giveaway:

In the Angel Flight 44, The Book post, we reviewed extensive excerpts from the ORIGINAL edition attributed to (and approved by) Kenneth Copeland. We also discussed how about 77,700 copies of Angel Flight 44: The True Story of Two Dedicated Pilots, a 60-Year-Old Airplane, and the Amazing Hurricane Katrina Mission That Birthed a New Aviation Ministry were given to the partners of KCM and ministers attending the 2007 KCM Minister's Conference.
Again, the “Partner Letter” give away of the Angel Flight 44 book was directly tied to donations— the check box for requesting the book being right above the contribution amount blank on the donation form.
Moreover, let me explain to you some numbers:
KCM paid the publisher only $2.30 per copy of the 75,000 ordered (but since 76,400 were delivered and no additional cost charged, their net price per book was actually about $2.26). They were given a ridiculously good deal (about 91% off the retail price) because the publisher actually allowed them to name their own price.
KCM staff told me that they typically get MORE offerings back when they give away products “for free” in their partner letters. I was told it varied, but typically $20 per product given was the minimum offering they received back from those requesting the “free” products. (They particularly like to give away DVDs and CDs because their total cost per product shipped is less than $1).
When we add postage, the envelope, and other direct expenses, KCM's direct expenditure was still less that $4 per book requested.
Thus, a minimum of about FIVE times what they spent on the books came in to KCM with the donor cards checked to receive a copy of the book: That is likely a minimum of about $1.24 million return on investment (ie profit) JUST ON the upwards to 77,700 books they “gave away.”
If KCM's average rate of returned offering was higher than their normal $20 minimum , then those figures could climb quickly into multiplied millions of dollars received by KCM into their GENERAL FUND that can be attributed to their broken AF44 promises . For example: At $30/book, $2.02 million ; at $40/book, $2.8 million ; and at $50/book, about $3.6 million .
And again, as we already noted on our previous post, Angel Flight 44, The Book , we need to pay special attention to the following scanned image. Notice how the “gift” request check box was located DIRECTLY ON the KCM donation card mailed to KCM's partners?:

So now add to the above book “give away” figures those funds that likely came into KCM's general fund through AF44-related partner recruitment and general offerings, and you can readily understand why KCM's published figure of only $7,788.43 is an absurd insult to the intelegence of Christian believers everywhere.

Conclusions:

It appears to me that KCM's overall general budget almost assuredly increased as a result of their “Angel Flight 44 book give away” (to the tune of potentially millions of dollars). That book promised a new ministry, and KCM's overall budget likely increased as a result of “giving” that book to KCM's partners. Yet, the ministry does not exist today, and there has been no explanation why it does not.
Since Kenneth Copeland promised the new Angel Flight 44 ministry, and since KCM has likely benefited financially from those promises, then it is the biblical and ethical thing to do to explain to the partners and Body of Christ WHY that ministry does not exist today— and they CERTAINLY need to explain where the AF44-designated money has gone.
To date, neither KCM nor Kenneth Copeland himself, have offered any explanation for their failure to carry through on their promises, nor have they made an honest public accounting of the money that was taken in. (And I have been trying for nearly three years to get them to come clean, first privately, and now publicly.)
Consequently, KennethCopelandBlog.com is calling the Copelands to account publicly—and should what seems to be fraud prove to be actually what has occurred, t hen we are also calling on them in advance to simply repent.
Let me also state again that a generic “Disaster Relief Fund” is no substitute for a fully-functional aviation support ministry. The earthquake victims in Haiti right now, for example, would have preferred Copeland's promised aircraft landing with food and water than KCM's non-transparent distribution of their alleged “Disaster Relief Fund” (ie nobody really knows what money goes where, or if at all, for KCM is not certified by ANY third party financial accountability entity such as the Evangelical Counsel for Financial Accountability ; and Wall Watchers' MinistryWatch.com has given them a financial transparency grade of “F” for their lack of openness .)
I do not doubt that KCM has “partners” on the ground helping in Haiti—Operation Blessing International being one of them. I really do not doubt that they give money to their partners to help in such disasters. What I doubt is how MUCH of those funds donated by other people to KCM's Disaster Relief Fund are properly used in this way… especially since it was not a “fund” but an aviation support ministry for humanitarian relief that they originally promised.
Lastly, it appears that this is NOT the first time KCM has conducted an apparent “bait and switch” campaign with donor funds, as one of our following articles will discuss more fully…
